"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Luís Soares was born on August 22, 1952, in Lourenço Marques (now Maputo), Mozambique. Growing up as a descendant of settlers, he was deeply influenced by the rich cultural tapestry of Mozambique, characterized by a blend of white, black, and Asian communities. These early experiences profoundly shaped his artistic vision.
In 1974, Soares began his career by executing mural commissions for private homes, marking the start of his journey as a professional artist. That year, he held his first major exhibition at Casa Amarela, supported by the Ayuntamiento de Lourenço Marques, and also exhibited at the Centro Cultural de la Beira with the backing of the periodical Noticias de la Beira and the General Directorate of Tourism. During this time, he began creating cast sculptures in bronze and aluminum.
In 1977, Soares moved to Lisbon, where he joined GRAVURA – Sociedade Portuguesa de Engravers Portugueses. Here, he was introduced to various engraving techniques, including lithography and screen printing, while receiving a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation for engraving. He studied under the guidance of artist João Hogan.
By 1981, Soares had relocated to Cascais, where he opened a workshop dedicated to researching and developing a unique form of ceramics that resonated with his new surroundings and roots. Over the years, from 1982 to 2019, he participated in numerous prestigious art fairs, including ARCO in Madrid, Art LA in Los Angeles, ArtMiami, Art London, ArtExpo NY, LINEART in Ghent, Art Düsseldorf, and EUROPART in Geneva.
Throughout his career, Soares has held dozens of solo exhibitions and participated in over six hundred group exhibitions worldwide, showcasing his diverse artistic practice and solidifying his presence in the international art scene. His work continues to reflect the rich cultural heritage and aesthetic influences that have shaped his artistic journey.
