I have made art all my life, or at least that's what people think. In my professional life I had a lot to do with colours and design, and was able to develop accordingly. In the last few years, since I retired, I have had the time to do more art in my active area. Installations and murals were the first major projects, which quickly found new fans. Painting on everything that was 'lying around' and professionally on canvas, steel or wood have shaped my active work ever since. My preference is for large-scale images. I mainly tell stories with my works, sometimes biographically. My work has to be me, my work has to have lived. The people who buy my works often recognise themselves in my stories or see another story that reaches them. My works really are alive. Since I was able to set up a studio on Mallorca, I have spent a lot of time on the island; the southern light influences my choice of colours. Works created on Mallorca are also shipped from there.
