LOMA is a French artist duo. They develop a material hybridization. Beneath plastic modernity, the earth is remembered, the obligatory support of all creation. The pieces are mixed between black earthenware and enamel-like color. The reminder of the raw origins of the earth, revealing imperfections and depth, contrasts with the smooth aspect of the color, which erases the roughness to go towards the tinsel. The eye is thus torn between these two contradictory messages. The spectator can wonder about the truth under the make-up, in allegory of the current uses of Instagram filters.
