Claudia Ferraris

I was born in Switzerland but spent my childhood mainly between Rome (Italy) and Vienna (Austria). I was interested in drawing since my early years and after High School frequented a "Scuola di Restauro" in Rome.
When I was 22 I went to live on the Canary Islands where I started to do some Art for living, especially murals, but also other techniques. In 1992 I went to live in Brazil, near Natal, where I spent ten years living literally on the beach, a very simple life and quite primitive, a place that inspired me enormously and gave me many ideas and life experiences! In 2003 I moved to Bahia where I dedicated all my energy on painting.
I started a new technique, which encountered much success, the "Espatulado invertido", a mixture with paste and colours creating an interesting 3D texture on canvas.
I exhibited in various 5-star Hotels, and sold my paintings all around the world. I am still living in Brazil....
