For Laurent, photography is a real kaleidoscope where mirrors and windows meet.
Born in 1972, Laurent is a resident of Bordeaux. Self-taught photographer and author, he has an unwavering passion for literature and still or moving images. In the 2000s, he brilliantly directed several short films.
After a career in the world of the web, he decided to put his skills at the service of the community by creating an associative web radio.
However, after thirteen years of listening and giving voice to various audiences, Laurent feels the deep need to express himself again. In 2020, as he approaches fifty, the health crisis triggers in him a long period of reflection. He then decided to change course and begin a difficult but necessary journey to give meaning to his life: to become a professional photographic artist.
Thriving in solitude, he finds true communion with friends he has never met. An eclectic tribe where A. Titarenko, D. Arbus, D. Lynch, A. Hitchcock, The Cure, Nick Cave, and many others intertwine, with a very special affection for Jean Cocteau.
From his early years, he followed the advice with determination: "What the public reproaches you for, cultivate it, it is you."
With his creations, he quickly bewitches Instagram and arouses the interest of both the public and professionals (press, competitions, exhibition venues, etc.). Laurent regularly sells his photos in limited editions, in France and abroad. Several exhibitions are already scheduled or under negotiation for the years 2023 and 2024.
