Kim Stone

Art direction for print magazines led me to a humbling path toward photography. Having art directed and styled so many shoots, I longed to be behind a lens. I took the opportunity and discovered there is nothing like the fulfilment one feels when something unique and beautiful is captured. And with the Western Cape on my doorstep, a more wonderful arena to explore would be pretty difficult to match. Not a day goes by here that reveals an opportunity for another beautiful photograph. I find the people here so durable and inventive when it comes to surviving. The odds are truly stacked against us, but somehow, bravery, creativity and passion is the motto around here. And the celebration of life is just a click away!
