Kim Forsell

Kim Forsell is a contemporary Swedish sculptor who recently transitioned from a 20-year career as a medical technology product specialist to dedicate himself to two new pursuits: opening a pain clinic and creating organic art. Forsell’s sculptures are crafted from thin layers of birch wood, which he heats, assembles, and sculpts to form shapes that evoke the fluidity of waves. His sculptures are designed without a fixed orientation, allowing viewers to rearrange them freely, creating new perspectives with each display.

Forsell’s work is deeply inspired by the concept of wave-particle duality in quantum mechanics. His series Quanta reflects this influence, symbolizing both the smallest building blocks of life and the vast scale of ocean waves. In this way, his art unifies the micro and macro aspects of our universe, bridging the worlds of the ethereal and the physical.

Dedicated to a Nordic aesthetic, Forsell uses sustainably sourced birch wood and a non-toxic white wax finish to achieve a durable, natural look. His sculptures are available in three sizes—small (under 30 cm), medium (under 50 cm), and large (over 50 cm)—inviting viewers to experience the dynamic beauty and complexity of his work.
