Kamila Matkowska is a contemporary Polish painter. She gained a strong foundation in iconography and symbolism over the course of five years of art history education, which she likes to incorporate in her paintings. She is fascinated by the old masters' painting styles, particularly those of Rembrandt and Van Eyck. Her artistic exploration revolves around figurative art, with a focus on the human body and psychological state of the individual.

Kamila Matkowska was born in 1982, in Poland, where she graduated from the Academy of fine arts in Jaroslaw and University in Lublin. She lives and works in Belgium.
