About my photography works
Growing up on an old farm in the east of The Netherlands was a childhood in nature. A free childhood, where I could stroll through the meadows and forests. It was a feast of colours. Once a dreamer, always a dreamer. My passion for art photography started when I was a child in the grass studying the water drops and the light. To this day there is little I like to do more than dreaming and studying shapes and colours.
At the age of 15 I knew a wanted to be a photographer. I studied photography at a small art school (1999) in Almelo in The Netherlands. When I was 19 I started to work as a freelance photographer.

About my paintings, drawings and graphic art
My works of paintings, drawings and graphic art is about the search for fine lines. The nuances. A quiet place. The magnificent balance of life in all its forms.
The inspiration for my paintings comes from the need to be close to the core of life. A space where everything comes from intuition.
The art of my grandparents, both artists (Baukje Kruit and Georg Ruyter) inspired me already as a child - although I had no clue of this influence until I was 35.
Nature is and has always been an inspiration to me. I experience the calm yet vibrant forces in my work. In the process of creating I try to be at peace of mind, and simply follow my hand.
