Highly unique, hand-made sculpture covered in mixed media, dimensional mosaic.
During my years as a professional mosaic sculptor, I exhibited widely, both in Australia and internationally. I also taught the art form in college and completed many art residencies in Melbourne schools.
I wrote the book Sculptural Secrets for Mosaic’ (Schiffer Publishing, USA). Each of the works in this series is featured in this book. Some of them have their own chapter dedicated to their creation.
This is the first time these works have been for sale.
Each sale is accompanied by a signed copy of the book, which currently sells internationally on all major online bookstores.

Biography
Australia based UK artist Julee spent years relocating internationally many times. Continually breaking ties and beginning again inspires her technique of deconstruction and reinvention of paint as a material.
Thoughts that paint could be capable of independent existence from the canvas resulted in her process of painting on plastic to enable subsequent removal when dry. Julee exploits the inherent flexibility to explore her interests in textile, collage, and sculptural techniques.
Intricately detailed works are the result of many hours of meticulous cutting, layering and gluing. Ultimately, Julee’s core aim is to generate conversation about the nature of painting and to challenge expectations of what a painting can be.

Art in Public Collection
Both of my rippled wall sculptures Minutes to Midnight and Liquid Sunshine have been chosen by an art consultancy in Singapore to grace the walls of a new hotel in Sydney.
Both works can be found in the restaurant at Hotel Capella and will form part of an Australian strong art collection which features throughout the hotel spaces.
