Juergen Straub is a photographer with a conceptual and perspective approach, as well as a strong serial project orientation. His work is influenced by the work of many artists, including Robert Frank, Ralph Gibson, and the Becher School.
His work is distinguished by a new and visionary lighting, which focuses on the themes of black and white photography, light, and space.
Juergen Straub was born in 1952 and lives in Wewelsfleth, Germany. In 1978, he earned a Master of Arts degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. Throughout the following decades, he facilitated numerous photo workshops in African and Asian countries for the Goethe Institute (Germany), on topics such as "light and space," the Series, and installations, all while working on the development of my portfolio and holding exhibitions. His work has been shown all over the world (Namibia, Bangladesh, Germany, the Netherlands, etc.) and has been published in Nepal and Poland.
