Biography
Josephine McKenna has been painting in the New England area for the majority of her life. She is 81 years old and resides in Westbrook Connecticut with her family.
Though she prefers oil painting, Josephine studied water color painting with award winning artist Stan Craver.
Josephine has also studied with renowned artist Tom Torrenti of Old Saybrook, at the Tracy Art Academy in Old Saybrook, and at the Old Lyme Art Academy in Old Lyme Connecticut.
Currently Josephine enjoys painting and greeting the locals at her own art studio/gallery located in Westbrook. Josephine is most popular for her Plein Air painting. She paints on commission for many of the residents, as well as business owners, throughout the Shoreline

Josephine was ARTIST OF THE MONTH at the Estuary Council Center for Feb 2007! She received a fabulous write up in the Hartford Courant. Josephine has been busy in 2008 painting on commissions however will be exhibiting again soon.
