I have been following a woodcarving course since 2015. I am now a wood carving professional. I also immersed myself in the craft of spoon carving. After much practice, I can consider myself a specialist in that field. I combine these two art forms in my work.
Wood carving uses dry wood, while spoon carving uses fresh wood. The fresh wood makes me feel closer to nature. So you can expect both sculptures from tree trunks and artistic wooden spoons from me. Moreover, you can also find carvings in tree bark.
With a background as a mathematics teacher, I love symmetry and geometric shapes. You often find this in my work.
I already gave courses in spoon carving at Lepelfeest Vlaanderen and in the meantime you can also come to me to learn how to make such a wooden spoon yourself. You can always contact me for this.
