Simplement deux mots sur cette série : les portraits s’inscrivent dans une progression naturelle du jeu de « Cache-cache ».
Mes visages sont cachés, à moitié couverts ou entièrement visibles.
C’est le mystère tu travail qui fait avancer le projet et à la fin du projet, on se rend compte de la progression logique des photos.
Très souvent, à partir d’une idée, le projet se développe et la réalisation se concrétise ; parfois la méthode est différente. Les photos sont stockées, archivées sans avenir défini et le projet vient après.

Joel Blanchon is a professional photographer who favors framing, aesthetics, light and colors. He tackles all the subjects while trying to bring out a homogeneous style. He prefers to show the aspects of life against the current vision: speed, stress, virtual, etc...
He tries to capture the subject in a particular situation or in a strange environment, to seek a certain aesthetic and to leave room for emotion and daydreaming.
By photographing associations of unusual objects he composes a mysterious image with the most common motifs and at the same time he hopes to lead the most reluctant spectators towards abstraction. It is for him the ideal way to connect the figurative to the abstract and not to oppose them.
Joel Blanchon is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Normandy (France). His work is present in many private collections.
