Joël Bassous is a contemporary French artist. Bassous came to cyber creations from the world of advertising. In a world that is frequently tragic and where the urge to decompress becomes constant, his designs are playful and surrealistic in style.
He started exhibiting in 2010. First, there is a collection of 30 paintings, sculptures, and photographs on the subject of the Château de Grignan. Then, starting in 2012, came his fictional animals, including stags, cyberchamois, and cyberdeer. Then, through pieces like "Motherboard," "Sexy Mouse," or "In the Name of the Father, of the Taxman," his work becomes more conceptual.
Joël Bassous participated in the SIAC of Marseille in 2013 and 2014. Other exhibitions follow in Grenoble, Montpellier, Lyon, Lisbon, New York.
