The first piece of art has the calligraphy note 春はあけぼの (Haru wa akebono) — means “Spring begins with dawn,” the iconic first line of the book, and a timeless expression of the Japanese appreciation for transient beauty. Under the inscription is the artist's signature in the form of a traditional Japanese seal.
On the second piece of art it’s written “Omotenashi” (おもてなし) — the spirit of sincere Japanese hospitality. It’s the art of anticipating the needs of others and offering kindness with warmth and without expectation. The cat, eyes gently closed and surrounded by fluttering spring butterflies, invites you to share in its peace.
Together, the artworks form a tranquil story of simplicity and emotional stillness — perfect for creating a peaceful corner in any home or space with a touch of Japanese elegance.
