In the spirit of nature, everything is connected. Water nurtures the flow of life. It vapors and rises into the air to form clouds, and precipitates back to earth in the form of rain and snow. The flowering tree of the deer's antler stands for an endless cycle of life in nature and the spirit of Love, Peace and Joy.

The deer embodies fertility, gentleness and wisdom. During a deer's life the antlers fall off and grow again, it is also a symbol of regeneration and renewal. That's why I chose this amazing creature to be my subject in expressing.

The circle is a symbol of unity and completeness in Chinese culture. It represents the concept of the universe and the cycle of life. It is also associated with the concept of yin and yang, which represents the balance of opposing forces in the universe.

COLORING is one of the key differences between my work and the other sculptors’, which both thermal and cold coloring processes are adopted after hand painting. I weaken the details in the form of my subjects deliberately and add some emotive weight with gradient coloring. It nurtures a stronger sense of form when seen from afar, but subtle changes are presented to the view when one takes a closer look at it.

2. The actual size of the artwork may be slightly different with a tolerance of +/- 5cm, as each edition was casted manually.

Wang Jiang, born in 1986, is a contemporary Chinese sculptor based in Beijing. He holds both a BA and an MA from the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, a prestigious institution recognized as one of the world’s leading art universities.

Wang Jiang’s sculptures are primarily crafted from bronze and stainless steel, embodying deep oriental perspectives, wisdom, and philosophy. His work celebrates the spirit of nature and explores the interconnections and interdependencies within the universe.

A distinctive feature of Wang Jiang’s art is its use of COLORING. Employing both thermal and cold coloring processes in conjunction with hand painting, he deliberately simplifies the details of his subjects and employs gradient coloring to infuse his pieces with emotional depth. This technique enhances the sense of form from a distance while revealing subtle nuances up close.

Wang Jiang's work has been acquired by celebrities, private collectors, and corporate clients across Asia. As a member of the China Urban Sculptors Association, he has undertaken over 20 large-scale sculptural projects nationwide since 2014, including art museum murals, hotel lobby sculptures, and installations in city squares and scenic areas.
