Jérôme Danikowski was born in 1954 in Lille. Passionate about art since childhood, he has been practicing sculpture for around forty years, as an autodidact influenced by his father's work. His father Boleslaw Danikowski (1928-1979) was a very talented ceramist.
An engineer by training, his professional activity within the Ministry of Equipment took him to Allier in 1982 where he conducted studies in the fields of urban planning and the environment. He has been retired since 2017.
His involvement in the territory and his taste for collective action have led him since 2007 to become heavily involved in the 2A2B association which runs the Ateliers du Chapeau Rouge in Souvigny. In particular, he organizes the Bancs Poèmes exhibitions (since 2009), the Ateliers sculpture du chemin de Saint-Jacques (2012 and 2014) and the Souvigny sacred art triennial (initiated in 2019), which bring together a network of artists on a national scale.
