Jérôme Guibert est né en 1968 dans l'est de la France, Kinésithérapeute et ostéopathe de métier depuis les années 90, il est depuis toujours attiré par les arts et notamment la matière sur laquelle il travail et modèle comme il masse les corps au quotidien dans son cabinet ;

Apres un passage aux beaux arts de Nancy ou il étudie le modèle vivant en même temps que ses études de kinésithérapeute, c'est d'abord par le dessin et le modelage sur argile qu'il fait ses premiers essais ; le corps humain, les formes, souvent rondes et pleines ainsi que la femme sont ses principales sources d'inspirations ;

Il travail ensuite pendant plusieurs années dans l'atelier de Sculpture de Catherine Mamet à Pommier la placette (Isère France) ou il apprend la taille directe sur pierre et les rudiments du maniement des outils de tailleur de pierre ;

Depuis les années 2000, il continue de façon plus ou moins régulière à sculpter et à explorer différentes techniques :  Le métal, la pierre, le béton cellulaire puis le plâtre ou la résine sur armature métallique qui permet un travail sur des volumes plus importants et des personnages aux membres de diamètres plus petits ; aussi il permet plus de fantaisie dans les finitions sur enduits, par la couleur et la projection de peinture à l'huile ou les patines acryliques.

Jérôme Guibert est également poète, il a écrit et publié 3 recueils de poèmes en vers libres sous le titre : " Amour, partage et autres folies"  aux éditions Edilivre.
