Jean-Marc propose des toiles sobres, équilibrées par l ' harmonie des couleurs et la finesse du dessin. Captivé par le mouvement , la nature et la modernité, il peint les ponts, les arbres, l'eau et ses reflets, les Danseuses. Il instaure le rapport au temps en peignant des séries. Il multiplie les cadrages en plongée et contreplongée. Les contours, la densité et les volumes s 'évanouissent avec le mouvement et la lumière. Pour traduire les sensations naturelles du plein air, il utilise les couleurs primaires et complémentaires ainsi que les tons intermédiaires et le blanc. Peintre de la lumière qu''il sait capter, il tient son talent de ses rencontres avec les peintres de renommée qui l ont formé et conseillé.
