JiCé B. was born in Anjou on July 15, 1950.

He has been painting since the age of 9; as a child, he had boundless admiration for his father, who was then a letter painter and who gave him his first drawing lessons. Even though he later pursued another artistic activity by pursuing a career in audiovisual, he never gave up painting before devoting himself to it completely at the beginning of 1996.
It was also in 1996 that he decided to perfect his art by going to and enrolling in a famous painting school (Deep Hellum School) in Dallas, United States. His teacher Herman Peace Jr. provided him with all the necessary elements for his wish to move towards a rather surrealist style of painting and, above all, to realize his desire to teach drawing and painting. His activity in the 7th art certainly gave him a taste for staging and some of his dreamlike paintings, accentuated by a strong chromaticism, are famous and known both in Europe and across the Atlantic. Upon his return from the United States in 98, he taught plastic arts at the drawing and charcoal academy in Bordeaux. In 2001, he opened a Studio-Gallery in Bédarieux in the Hérault department. In September 2012, he was included in the famous Guidarts dictionary of Artists from the 15th century to the present day and his works are now listed on the art market. .
Since June 2014 JiCé B. has been elevated to the rank of Chevalier Académicien within the prestigious Institution: MONDIAL – ART – ACADEMIA; seat no. 217 / 300 has been assigned to him.
