Jacques Sterenberg

Jacques Sterenberg is a contemporary artist based in Israel, whose work has earned international recognition and several prestigious art awards. Born in Lima, Peru, he moved to Chile at an early age, where he grew up and pursued his art education. Sterenberg studied at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Chile, immersing himself in the Chilean Artistic Movement of the 1980s. His involvement in this vibrant art scene led to exhibitions at art galleries and urban art spaces, gradually earning him recognition.

In the 1990s, Sterenberg moved to Israel after receiving a Scholarship for Artists of Excellence. Upon settling in Israel, he began exhibiting his work in prominent art venues in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, becoming an active participant in the Israeli art community. He has since received numerous awards and scholarships, including recognition from the Jerusalem Post Fund and The America-Israel League.

Sterenberg's paintings have been showcased in galleries around the world, including exhibitions in Chile, Croatia, the United States, France, Spain, Germany, Peru, and other countries. His work is known for its bold use of color, often incorporating unnatural and vibrant hues that create striking chromatic contrasts.
