American artist Jacob Farkas was born in Brooklyn, into a family with a history of painting and fell in love with watercolors at the age of 10. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at The City University of New York, where he received his BFA degree. His award-winning paintings have been included in numerous juried and gallery exhibitions, and they hang in private and corporate collections throughout the country, as well as overseas.
Jacob Farkas' watercolors are full of luminous color, rich shadows, and beautifully drawn shapes. His paintings are descriptive and yet expressive, realistic and yet abstract. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he has his studio.
