Artistic education
- began painting in 1979 in the art studio «Ziemeļblazma» under the guidance of artist Jānis Mednis
- had private lessons with artist Biruta Delle in her studio «Zemūdene» 1982 - 1986
- completed Bachelor of Arts Pedagogy at the Latvian Academy of Fine Arts 1986 - 1992

- worked as an art teacher in secondary school in Riga, Latvia 1985
- led the plein aire working group at the International Summer Academy in Valmiera, Latvia 1995
- led the working group "Painting + Sculpture" at the International Summer Academy in Vaidava, Latvia 1996

- collaborated in the organization of the International Summer Academy in Latvia 1995 - 2000
