Mikl est un artiste français de 49 ans. Il a toujours cherché à s'exprimer via la communication visuelle. Il a d'ailleurs choisi un métier où il peut le faire à sa guise puisqu'il est graphiste. Mais le travail à travers l'interface de l'ordinateur ne lui apporte pas la même satisfaction qu'une feuille de papier. Il aime dessiner des visages qui lui parlent. Ce peut être un visage atypique, un regard, une expression. Les personnages de ses dessins sont souvent tristes ou torturés. Les visages marqués par la vie, la tristesse, sont, pour lui, une grande source d'inspiration. Il a choisi de s'exprimer à travers un simple stylo Bic afin de ne pas s’embarrasser d'artifices, pour son côté définitif et parce qu'un carnet de croquis et un stylo peuvent facilement le suivre dans ses déplacements.
