Irisney Bosco was born in São Paulo on August 22, 1952.

Developing a professional activity as a graphic designer, little by little he embarked on the one-way street of plastic arts.

Self-taught, Irisney still brings with her the realistic heritage of her previous professional activity. However, in his art, the graphic representation ceases to be merely illustrative.

For him, and in the impressionist way, reality is seen as an evanescent form, which must be captured at the exact moment it is observed.

The real is not interpreted, but decomposed in the form of tactile and visual impressions, shaped on the pictorial plane by quick and essential brushstrokes. The optical fusion, therefore, does not take place on the canvas, but truly on the retina and in the spirit of the observer who, in this way, is invited to interact with the work.

Finally, the overlapping of “fat” masses with “thin” and neutral planes gives her work a vibrant and aesthetically delicate appearance at the same time.

Irisney currently resides in the city of São Paulo, where she works and teaches in her studio.
