Irina Grigoriev-Vaschinkina, a contemporary pastel painter, was born in Russia in 1970 and later settled in France, where she currently resides in Cernay-la-Ville, a town celebrated for its historical colony of landscape painters. Her artistic journey began at the Obninsk Design School, where she immersed herself in the study of painting, exploring various techniques such as watercolor, oil on canvas, and pastel. Among these mediums, she found her true passion in pastel, captivated by its unique qualities and expressive potential.
Driven by her love for art in all its forms, Irina focuses primarily on landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. However, her creative pursuits extend beyond the canvas, as she is also deeply passionate about music. Balancing her time between these two artistic expressions, she finds inspiration in the harmonious interplay between nature and sound.
