The symmetrical construction of the compositions, the brilliance of gold, the porcelain glare of shells, the signs of wealth and happiness strewn on their bodies and in their hair, and by their sides are fruits of all varieties, symbols of fertility, comprehension, purity, but also evil, and are embracing the formative content filling the images of Irena Polanec's art. In the collection the female portraits are represented, which reveal a broad spectre of different psychological conditions and reactions. Paintings of beautiful women are decorated with gold and black frames which add a new perspective to the works. Especially striking in the paintings is the golden colour, which adds a special reverie to them. In the paintings many symbolic messages are "hidden" which the author "reveals" in the form of fruit, flowers, leaves, shells...
