"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Sarah Vermeersch a fait des études d’art et de photographie à Bruxelles avant de partir pour Londres et ensuite s’installer définitivement dans le sud de la France. Après plusieurs années passées à explorer différents aspects de la photographie en passant par le portrait et le reportage, ainsi que la réalisation de vidéos et documentaires, un film avec Brian Eno et plusieurs collaborations avec le groupe anglais Fischer-Z, Sarah a commencé à travailler sur des illustrations de la mythologie classique ce qui l’a conduite vers de nouvelles aventures en créant des images qui rappellent la peinture tout en restant dans le médium photographique.
Souvent inspirées par les contes et les mythes, ou simplement par une expression ou une tournure de phrase, les images évoquent un monde imaginaire derrière le rideau du réel, illustrant les rêves et les cauchemars, racontant l’amour de la vie et la peur de la mort.
“Je n’aime pas donner ma propre interprétation de mon travail. Il s’agit pour moi d’instantanés, d’une fraction d’une histoire et je veux laisser la liberté au visiteur de décider lui-même du début et de la fin du récit selon ce que l’image lui inspire”.
Travaillant méticuleusement depuis un projet croqué, Sarah multiplie les superpositions, collages et incrustations pour obtenir un résultat unique, précieux, entre peinture et photographie.
