The building was erected three times by the Eastern Roman Empire. The present Hagia Sophia is the third, built in 537 AD. Although its title was accepted as an orthodox church, a mosque, a museum and then a mosque again, the building carried the title of Catholic cathedral for a long time after the fourth crusade.[4] In other words, after the construction of the Orthodox Church, then the Catholic Cathedral, then the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul on 29 May 1453, it was converted into a mosque; after the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, it became a museum in 1935, then a mosque again in 2020.

Azerbaijani artist Elmar Magerram.
Have graduated the Latvian Art Academy with Master’s degree in Art History and Restoration. Since that period artist professional worked in restoration of art objects. Took part in projects for the preservation and restoration of significant cultural sites in Latvia, Germany, Italy, UK.
Background in academic painting have provided a good base for his art, firmly grounded in the realism traditions. Art turned to social themes, such as ethnicity, religion, traditions and humanity. Through art, Elmar strives to convey the diversity of people and cultures, to show things that people have in common, as human beings inhabiting one planet. Thus, the artist reflects the characteristics of modern civilization.
Elmar think, that the main condition for maintaining balance in a constantly mixing world is Respect and Gratitude to the culture that has become your home. Elmar serving the understanding that life is diverse but important in any form. We all are living beings and we are an integral part of this world, no matter which religion or nation we are.
