Igor Makeev is a painter and a photographer. He has been painting with oils since he was a child. Now, he mostly writes and takes pictures of things that blow his mind and make him feel new things. In his work, he tries to show or explain what made him feel this way.
Addressing particularly the themes of the landscape, portrait, and cityscape, his work is distinguished by a new touch that can remember impressionism.
He was born in Russia in the year 1961. He has lived and worked in the Czech Republic since 2000. When he was a child, there were a lot of paintings and art books at home. His father was a builder, but in his spare time, he was a professional painter who made beautiful pictures. Private collections of his oil paintings can be found in the Czech Republic, Israel, Russia, and Croatia.
