Fukushima fish
The Fukushima nuclear accident was a major nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Ōkuma, Fukushima, Japan which began on March 11, 2011. The proximate cause of the accident was the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, which resulted in electrical grid failure and damaged nearly all of the power plant's backup energy sources. The subsequent inability to sufficiently cool reactors after shutdown compromised containment and resulted in the release of radioactive contaminants into the surrounding environment.[8][9] The accident was rated seven (the maximum severity) on the INES by NISA, following a report by the JNES (Japan Nuclear Energy Safety Organization). It is regarded as the worst nuclear incident since the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, which was also rated a seven on the INES.

Haka is a contemporary Russian artist. He's recently become interested in a new trend in contemporary art called "recycling-art," which involves transforming old, outdated home products into new art objects. Art recycling is primarily an alternative for traditional art forms. Modern society has become addicted to consumerism, unaware of the fact that the planet's resources are finite. The industrial revolution in the 19th century set the stage for a "garbage catastrophe" in the 20th and 21st centuries, with no clear remedy in sight, particularly in Russia, his home country. His concept is that items that aren't recycled for various reasons can be used to make art pieces, giving them a second life and transforming a functional product into a decorative or home item in a modern interior.
