A series created out of a longing for open landscapes where you as a viewer can find peace and move to another place for your well-being.
Looking out over vast landscapes gives you a sense of security and control. Looking out over the horizon and giving yourself time to decide where you want to go, which is your path? Life is sometimes tricky and it can feel like you're stuck. An open landscape then seems to be able to invite new perspectives and give a feeling of calm.
The landscape is there as a safe eternal place to be a part of.
Feeling the silence, the wind, and feeling part of it all by surveying a part of it, creates harmony and peace in the soul. My hope with these abstract motifs is that the viewer will be able to be transported to a place they recognize, or need to invite calm and reflection.

Biography
Gustaf Tidholm is a contemporary Swedish painter born in Stockholm in August 1981. As an abstract contemporary artist, Gustaf draws inspiration from daily encounters and his personal voice throughout the creation process. His goal is for his artworks to evoke joy, hope, happiness, power, inspiration, peace, and faith in viewers, with his own faith serving as a key influence.
Gustaf views painting as a form of meditation, finding immense joy in the inspiration that arises during the creative process. He often starts with an initial idea on paper, which may evolve into something entirely different by the artwork's completion. This transformation embodies the pure joy of allowing the spirit to guide the work and ensuring that the final piece is honest and authentic.
While Gustaf typically determines color selection and working methods based on the design of the work, commissioned pieces may adhere to specific guidelines or preferences from the buyer.
