Guillermo Simanavicius (Gelsim)

Guillermo Simanavicius is a multidisciplinary Argentinian artist who is fascinated by technological changes and their impact on society, as well as forgetting, memory, inaction, and action.

His canvas is often the female body, but other times it is just its curves. He paints, draws, photographs, and films. 

Guillermo Simanavicius was a military policeman (conscript soldier) for the Argentine government in 1982 (Malvinas), which changed my perspective on the world and people. He began working with medium and large format cameras several years ago, which will take me into a lost analog world that must be rediscovered because its aesthetic possibilities are astounding. Today, he seeks peace and harmony in the most appealing ways. He holds degrees in Chemical Technician and C/C++ Programmer (Specialized in digital imaging).
