Jay Greig is a talented artist based in Carson City, Nevada, who surprises us with his incredible hyper-realistic pencil drawings. For a long time Jay devoted himself to other kinds of things, but it was right before college that he returned to one of his passions, drawing. According to him, he was fortunate enough to study art and get an Associate of Arts Degree from the University of Nevada.  As an art school student, he was obsessed with pencil art and created a portfolio of incredible pencil drawings.

Everything he knows he has learned by accumulating experience and practicing a lot. Jay Greig specializes in graphite pencil drawings. According to his Twitter account: "The art of pencil drawing has been an important part of my life for more than 20 years. Over the years he has struggled to give each drawing the greatest realism, using only graphite pencils The details are the key to provide realism, patience is also very important, focusing the task on small areas and working it until achieving maximum realism, and then moving on to another area, in a technique that I developed myself."

Jay Greig is also known for his detailed pencil drawing tutorials. He begins each of the works with his heart and passion, love, hope and positive light. This artist often likes to draw photo-realistic human eyes to portray strong emotions and subtle personalities. His drawings are filled with soft and deep strokes that make his images come to life and squander feelings that go from tenderness to eroticism, passing through endless sensations that you yourself can see. As if this were not enough, Jay Greig leaves us a reflection of himself that makes him not only a great artist, but an excellent person.

Although Jay Greig is mainly known for his intense naturalistic graphite drawings, he also works in photography, which is much more abstract than his drawings. His interests have become exceedingly experimental with more attention placed on the surfaces of the work itself. Discovering and rediscovering his chosen medium is the everlasting stimulus that keeps him interested and excited.
