Gor Avetisyan is a contemporary Armenian artist. Avetisyan has always been attracted by traditional Armenian carpet-making methods and work of master craftsmen. Therefore, all of them as well as a spectacular sense of shape and color represented by the most well-known landscape painter from Armenia M. Saryan, he was converted into his art, which was vibrant and full of life.
Personal experience and even history regain imagery in Avetisyan's paintings through the application of old family photos, extracts from letters, objects, etc., while also showing the sign of an irreversible loss of real sense of living lived by a man. It is possible to discern in each of Avetisyan's canvases the spirit of the game; a dialogue, a balance between emptiness and plenitude, matter and nothingness.
Gor Avetisyan was born in 1963, in Armenia, where he graduated from the State Institute of Fine Arts, Yerevan. The artist exhibited his works in Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Austria, Nederlands, Ireland, Finland, Slovakia, Italy, in the USA and UK. In addition, his art was part of International Libr'Art Salon in Belgium, International Art Fair Grand Marche in Berlin, EuropArtFair in Geneva Switzerland, Art Fair LINEART in Gent Belgium, Art Expo in Monte Carlo, Affordable Art Fair in Stockholm, Brussels, Milan,Singapore, London etc.
