Godfrey Dols is a contemporary Dutch sculptor. Godfried makes strongly figuratively oriented work, mainly in bronze, Italian marble and alabaster. Mythical elements regularly appear in his work. He draws inspiration from 'life itself', from Greek mythology and of course from the beauty of the female body.
His work is characterized as a dynamic play of movement, balance and gravity, with a 'baroque' touch of contemporary feminine and mythical elements. Godfrey Dols carries out the entire process from clay or modeling wax to bronze in his own studio. Only the bronze casting is outsourced, depending on his wishes at various bronze foundries in the Netherlands and Italy.
