She was struck by the vibrant high vis clothing he was dressed in.
As she photographed the figure, the rain on the window caused interesting effects to occur in the image. The artist painted this with neon orange acrylic paints, oils on silk over a canvas stretcher in a unique way working with wax to create layers.

Having developed her own unique process of painting using oils and wax on silk, Peskett has been incredibly successful both at home and abroad, with solo and group exhibitions across the world. She has exhibited in institutions such as the Royal Academy where she has sold her paintings to private collectors and in 2018 was selected for the Columbia Threadneedle Prize. Peskett’s work is held in numerous private and public collections in the UK, the US, Hong Kong, and Australia
Peskett grew up in a family of artists and was inspired to create at a young age. In the 1980s, Peskett relocated to New York where she was the apprentice to several of Jean Michel Basquiat contemporaries .
Her life experiences greatly influence her work; Peskett began to paint urban landscapes at this time and she depicts city life in her current work.
Peskett draws her inspiration from photographs, selecting areas that interest her and then using her artistic instinct and imagination to create. She works primarily with oils, applying paint and wax to layers of primed silk. Peskett’s recent work focuses on contemporary life, portraying individuals and architecture in the urban environment.
