Née en 1986 à La Louvière (Belgique), G. Carta vit et crée aujourd’hui au Havre, en Normandie. C’est à 16 ans qu’elle s’offre ses premiers pinceaux et tubes d’acrylique, donnant naissance à une passion profonde pour les portraits et les corps. Au fil du temps, elle affine sa technique, troquant l’acrylique pour la richesse de la peinture à l’huile.
En 2019, elle fait un choix décisif : quitter son poste d’agent commercial pour se consacrer pleinement à sa vocation artistique. Depuis, ses œuvres voyagent à travers l’Europe et les États-Unis, touchant des collectionneurs sensibles à son univers singulier.
En 2023, sa rencontre avec les pastels à l’huile est un véritable coup de cœur. Cette matière devient un terrain d’exploration où la texture donne vie aux émotions. À travers des jeux de courbes, elle exprime tantôt la sensualité, tantôt la douleur, tissant un dialogue intime entre la couleur et le ressenti. Les tons chair se métamorphosent en nuances d’orange ou de bleu, réinventant l’existence par des contrastes inattendus.
Son art est une quête d’identité, de valeurs profondes, de déconstruction et de reconstruction. Chaque œuvre est une invitation à la vulnérabilité, un plongeon dans sa réalité brute et sincère.
