Florian is a french contemporary painter. Hailing from the south of France, bathed in the Mediterranean sea spray and the special light of the Catalan coast, Thomas is a multi-faceted artist. Coming from a family of artists, he has been in contact with art in all its forms since childhood, educated by and for painting. The result is resolutely abstract and intuitive, despite his rather academic training. Great traveler, he leaves with his backpack for long solo trips, as his last trip in 2019 where he went from his city of Perpignan to Mongolia by hitchhiking. His main engine is curiosity, Florian likes to explore, discover, feel and grow in contact with the unknown.
These adventures are as many inspirations that we find in his work. An intuitive, spontaneous process, letting the subconscious spring forth. He seeks pure, subjective and unique emotion through the eyes of the viewer. Let each and everyone see their own reflection, their own interpretation and emotion. Thomas does not have his own unique style, but rather an exaltation in perpetual research and evolution, like different branches of the same tree, intertwining, getting closer or further away according to his desires and inspirations. A universe of movements and colors, of lines and ordered frames but also of explosions and chaos, illustration of its inner duality. Florian Thomas is a being on the edge of the world, a tightrope walker in imbalance, as "between order and chaos".
