Ferruccio Gard is a contemporary Italian artist. He is one of the pioneers and leading artist representatives of Neo-Constructivist art, Programmed Art, and Optical Art. Gard, who is regarded as a master of color, creates distinctive formal and compositional solutions of forms and colors in his paintings. He explores the complexity of black and white as well as the extremes of the tonal scale of colors by combining geometric composition with chromatic and unique themes.
Ferruccio Gard was born in 1940, in Italy. He has participated in more than 150 solo exhibitions all around the world and was involved in seven editions of the Venice Biennale of Art and at the 11th National Rome Quadriennale. Gard's work has also been exhibited at several international museums.
