Fabrizio Gemma nasce a Roma dove tuttora risiede e lavora. Dopo aver conseguito la maturità classica prosegue gli studi e si laurea in Ingegneria Informatica presso l'Universita' "La Sapienza" di Roma. Nel mese di settembre del 2005 comincia a lavorare all'ENEA, presso il centro ricerche Casaccia dove collabora a un progetto per la gestione dei guasti, delle anomalie e dei problemi di sicurezza emergenti nelle infrastrutture informatizzate, quali le reti di telecomunicazioni e i sistemi SCADA. Nel 2008 comincia la sua attività di insegnante di materie tecniche nelle scuole medie superiori, insegnando Telecomunicazioni all'ITIS Galileo Galilei e all'ITIS Giuseppe Armellini; ha insegnato anche Matematica e Fisica ai LIcei classici Terenzio Mamiani e Bertrand Russell di Roma. Nutre una profonda passione per la pittura che lo accompagna sin da quando era bambino; infatti ha cominciato a dipingere e a disegnare in età prescolare, cimentandosi dapprima con la tempera e l'acquarello per approdare alla pittura ad olio. Predilige in particolar modo i ritratti.
Partecipa per sei volte alla mostra "100 pittori Via Margutta, dal 2015 al 2017 e infine nel settembre del 2019 partecipa alla 58esima Biennale di Venezia.
