Magic mother of pearl (2021) Painting by Evgenia Kiperiya

One fine July morning I woke up and I wanted to create a very unusual picture.

I drank a glass of water, washed myself, took a canvas 40x50 cm and started ..
first the color of dark chocolate came to my mind, I decided to make a base out of it,
then I began to select the shades I needed, having decided on the colors, without hesitation, I took the canvas in my hands and began to carefully lay out the paint on the canvas so that beautiful transitions from one color to another appeared.

The surface of the paint was perfectly silk, I really liked it, but I wanted something sharp, unexpected, stunning effect. I looked at the time and was surprised, it was night outside, I spent the whole day alone with the picture, forgetting about breakfast. I live in a city with white nights, so it's easy to get lost in time.

I absolutely did not want to sleep, I decided to have breakfast and go for a walk in the park. Having worked up a dream, I went to bed. Waking up in the morning, I ran to look at my magical picture, which bewitched me with its attention... what my surprise was when I saw the very stunning effect that I was waiting for.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The picture is ready. It remains to wait for the paint to dry completely and cover it with varnish.

I covered the mother of pearl with a glossy varnish, and the chocolate surface of the canvas with a matte varnish. Each color is saturated with mother-of-pearl and pigment, in the sun or with a directional light source, the picture shimmers.
