Air-drying clay was used to make this wonderful little man, basking in the sun, after getting plastered with acrylic blue and white, and gold paint. Obviously, he got drunk, hence the empty bottle. Or: make up your own story, it is so much fun to see this little fellow sitting, chilling, and hanging out. He is sitting on a leaf made from black clay, baked in the oven. Then the leaf was painted with golden paint from Molotov. Obviously, the little man could be sitting on a wood block, on your piano, or on a bookshelf. The leg needs to be able to hang down, over the edge. The little man is leaning backward on one hand and one foot.

Focus on a future you dream of creating
I am a self-taught artist and a dreamer. And I struggle a lot. I always dream of a colorful life. While living in Southern California I took up photography. I painted fun and expressive art on clothing, designed by me and sold to some small fancy shops on Melrose Blvd. I painted murals for children's rooms but found that painting on canvas had my preference. Twelve years later: back in the Netherlands, I took several workshops sculpting in stone. It became a journey: sculpting in stone, sculpting in clay, analog, and then digital photography, ending up painting with acrylics and drawing digitally. Taking online classes with Pamela Caughey and Nickolas Wilton and Suzanne Allard, designer. Still overcoming my insecurities, but at last, I find great pleasure in painting and using different media. I procrastinate at times, but I see that mainly as an inner search for the next thing to come. And when busy with my hands, my heart takes over and I get completely lost in my work. I love imperfection while trying to be perfect. I figure that if I don't try and spread my wings, I will never know how high I can fly.
Ik vind dat kunst niet voor de elite behoort te zijn. Kunst wordt gemaakt door mensen en is gemaakt voor mensen, moet toegankelijk zijn en het liefst voor iedere portemonnee.
