Marie Nicolas-Bénazet née en 1964 à Carcassonne vit et travaille à Grasse (Alpes Maritimes).
Elle ouvre un atelier de peinture sur bois et d’aquarelle et découvre il y a trois ans la technique du cyanotype qui devient son mode d’expression et lui permet de puiser dans ses sources d’inspiration
que sont la nature et l’art.
Au fil des ans, elle constitue un herbier provenant de son jardin et de l’arrière pays Grassois qui deviendra son écriture végétale, son territoire rêvé.
L’objectif de son travail est d’approfondir la conscience de la beauté et de l’harmonie de la nature,
ainsi au travers de sa production artistique elle cherche à restaurer le lien sacré qui nous unit à elle.
