Painted during a surfing trip to Croyde Bay, Devon, this piece captures the quite mesmerising moment the sun began disappearing below the horizon. Many people stopped to watch this event as it was really very beautiful. A halo of deep hot red surrounded the fiery ball as it descended creating an intense contrast.
