A secret place (2021) Картина - Elena Petrova

I was born in Russia and used to help the teacher in the kindergarden by making drawings for other children to color. I was drawing quite a lot for several years, mostly people and animals.

After graduating from the university, moving abroad and becoming a housewife I got some spare time and started to learn how to paint. For several years now I have been learning and practicing almost every day,  watching online tutorials, reading books, following artists that inspire me and searching for ideas. Now what used to be a little fun when I was a child became a full time commitment that teaches me every day.

My paintings are made with my perception of beauty, real life, interest to people and animals. I stick to classics as I am quite conservative.

I believe that art is intended mostly for home and should make it better for those who live there.
