Elena LeChic – Art That Speaks in Contrasts
I am an artist based in the vibrant Bay Area, California, where I create paintings that blend elegance with expressive depth. My work is driven by contrasts—the harmony of opposites, the interplay between structure and fluidity, and the beauty found in unexpected places.
Using oil, watercolor, and acrylic, I explore themes of symmetry and asymmetry, strength and fragility, and the hidden complexity within simplicity. Each piece is a reflection of emotions, thoughts, and the ever-evolving relationship between art and perception.

Feel like your inspiration is gone?
I did too, until I went for a walk and saw some poppy fields at sunset. ⠀⠀
That magical moment totally inspired me to paint ‘Poppies at Sunset’. I tried to capture the cool light and shadows as the last rays of the sun touched the poppy petals.⠀⠀
Watercolor painting can be tricky. It requires careful work and patience, but the soft and translucent quality of the paint helped me to make the flowers look very soft and light. ⠀
This painting reminds us of nature’s short-lived beauty and how important it is to catch those awesome moments.⠀⠀
