Eddy Josse
Eddy Josse is a contemporary French artist known for his diverse body of work spanning different mediums and subjects. In the early 2000s, Eddy gained recognition for his large-format oil paintings on canvas, focusing primarily on portraits and scenes depicting the lives of Breton farmers and sailors.
After a period of hiatus, Eddy returned to his artistic practice, this time exploring ink and watercolor on paper. His subjects expanded to include rural and urban landscapes, as well as still lifes such as bouquets of flowers and occasional depictions of animals.
Eddy's artistic style is characterized by its figurative nature, with a particular emphasis on thoughtful composition and framing. Rather than delving into intricate details, Eddy seeks to suggest elements within his compositions, inviting viewers to engage with their imagination.
More recently, Eddy has shifted towards creating smaller formats, often framed to enhance their presentation. This evolution in scale allows for a more intimate viewing experience while still retaining Eddy's signature style and reflective approach to his subjects.

Communiqué de presse
Article
