Corona Del Mar, California -- April 22, 2020
Artist Dutch Montana's oil on canvas piece entitled "Arizona #1" has been selected by J. Mane Gallery for exhibition in the gallery's "Landscapes 2020 Exhibition". Montana is an award winning artist with several of his pieces being selected for exhibition from contests throughout the United States. His California and western United States muse is found in his award winning paintings including "California Coast #4" and "Abstract in Blue #2". His work is distinctive for its use of heavy medium which creates texture in his originals, and bold, aggressive palette knife strokes.
Arizona #1 is an abstract expressionist painting that signifies the work Montana did in the year 2019 and 2020. The background is vivid blue sky and a classic Arizona stone outcropping jutting into the sky in Arizona earth colors and splashes of turquoise. Perched on a mountain ledge is a nicely textured Saguaro cactus placed dead center in the piece, in which the cactus green is highlighted with iridescent gold and sunset orange.
The art will be posted and promoted on Artweek.com. Artweek.com has over 800,000 impressions per month, 30,000 newsletter subscribers and 95% of their visitors work in or with the art, design & creative industries, from junior, middle to senior levels. Dutch Montana said, "I am honored that J. Mane Gallery selected this work for exhibition in Landscapes 2020. This piece is one of my favorites. Whenever you do a piece that isn't forced, that seems as if some higher power is guiding your selection of color and your palette knife and brush, and to see it come out better than you envisioned it - it is a real joy. This was one of those pieces."
J. Mane curates both emerging artists and established artists.

Dutch Montana Chosen as Curators Pick for April 2020 at Singulart Paris-based Gallery
April 1, 2020 - Corona Del Mar, California
Artist Dutch Montana has been chosen as "Curators Pick" for the month of April at the Paris, France based gallery Singulart. Montana is best known for his creation of "The Unity Flag", a stylized artistic version of the American Flag, and his "Palm Series", a series of abstract expressionist paintings featuring the southern California Coastline as his muse.
Montana has become a fast rising emerging artist since burst onto the scene in SoCal in late 2018 and created The Unity Flag in 2019. This "inclusive" flag was his attempt to unify the nation of the United States during a time of deep divisiveness and was adopted by the human resources departments of many of America's larger corporations.
"I can't tell you how honored I was to even be chosen to be represented by Kate Edgington at Singulart and now to be chosen as a member of this group of artists that will be featured in April that reaches the worlds most important collectors is just fantastic," said Montana. "Working with Singulart has been fantastic. They understand that although we as artists may do what we do for the love of it and to express our internal feelings and thoughts, there is nothing more validating to an artist than a collector that actually purchases our work. All of us want to be validated that what we are doing is relevant to someone else, and Singulart, by focusing on living artists, curating a smaller number of artists, and working closely with collectors, provides the best platform for this to happen."
Dutch Montana work can be purchased at www.singulart.com and on www.ArtMajeur.com. His personal site is a non-sales showcase site for his work and can be found at www.DutchMontana.com.
